Capstone Portfolio
Contained within this Capstone Portfolio website (currently a work-in-progress) is a sampling of coursework completed between June, 2010 and August 2011 for the Master of Library Science program at Southern Connecticut State University. This body of work is to represent core values and understandings as illustrated by the educational experience as well as the American Library Association (ALA) Executive Board's recommendation for learning basics in the achievement of a graduate degree in library science (2009). As such, on the left are links, that will open to reveal sublinks. These links include:
- Listing of the ALA Core Competencies and how they related to my course of study.
- My reflections on the MLS journey— a description of how my basic understanding of librarianship has been changed with this program.
- About Me (Résumé): Following current social networking trends, rather than simply present a rèsumè, this page will detail an "about me" philosphy (i.e. why I am entering librarianship as well as core values). A link to access a more formal résumé is offered.
- The Special Project completed for the graduate degree. This is the completion of a research project conducted for the ILS580 class.
